The Dedalus Foundation Fund for Past Fellows and Awardees is intended to lend targeted, ongoing support to our outstanding past awardees, who continue to pursue ambitious artistic or art historical projects within their respective fields.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be reviewed in cycles. The 2024 cycle deadlines are: March 1, July 1, and November 1.

Eligible awardees include Dedalus Foundation Senior Fellows, MFA Fellows, Dissertation Fellows, High School Scholarship winners, and Robert Motherwell Book Award winners.

Proposals should be project-based with funding serving a specific purpose. The grant contemplates a number of purposes including, but not limited to: materials related to specific projects; education related expenses; framing and shipping of artworks; website development; travel and other expenses incidental to attending conferences and residencies, including childcare; and payment of assistants or consultants (i.e. studio or editorial help toward a specific project).

This grant cannot be used for: healthcare or emergency medical expenses, general living expenses, or major capital investments.

Grants will vary according to the needs of the specific project, with a maximum of $2,500. Recipients of this grant may reapply three years after receipt of the previous award. Grant recipients will be selected and announced 2 weeks after each cycle’s deadline.
