Individual Fellowships

The Dedalus Foundation awards three kinds of individual fellowships: doctoral dissertation fellowships in art history; senior fellowships in art history and criticism; and master of fine arts fellowships in painting and sculpture.

The Dedalus Foundation also awards an annual Robert Motherwell Book Award, which honors an outstanding publication in the history and criticism of modernism in the arts; and the Dedalus Foundation Exhibition Catalogue Award, which recognizes the author or authors of an outstanding exhibition catalogue that makes a significant contribution to the scholarship of modern art or modernism. Each award carries a cash prize of $20,000.
